RTR Series Finale with Dirty River Boys

Panther Island Pavilion is pumped to welcome back the crowd-favorite headliners, The Dirty River Boys. The group’s amped guitars and fiddle-fired energy on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage will deliver a dynamic live experience that fans will not forget. Granbury native, Dustin Massey, will return to the iconic Fort Worth venue as the opening act. The PIP event will end on the Cinch after-party stage featuring the Peterson Bros’ energetic and modern grooves of jazz, funk, blues and soul.

Kick Back with Kyle Park

Play all day and night this Thursday at Panther Island Pavilion! Enjoy Trinity River tubing and music fun on August 4 with artists BenCJones, Seth James, and headliner Kyle Park.

Local songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, BenCJones, will bring a refreshing opening set to the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. The Alt/Pop/country-soul artist will entertain tubers and beachgoers with songs from his latest EPs, Afraid of Me and Disaster. Texas Country artist, Kyle Park, will headline the Rockin’ event. The Texas Country Music Chart topper will bring his smooth and soulful country sound to enlighten the river crowd. Fans are hyped for Park’s return after a previous lively performance at Panther Island Pavilion in April 2022. Born and bred Texan, Seth James will rock the after-party beach crowd on the Cinch stage. Listeners describe lyrics from James’ latest album, Different Hat, as “simple and romantic in a way [they] can understand”.

End (or start) your Thursday evening with cold Coors Light, tubing, beach fun and three bands at Panther Island Pavilion!

Squeezebox Bandits will kick off the evening on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. Fun and chirpy songs like “San Antonio Rose”, “Guacamole” and “Texas Swing” featuring headliner Triston Marez will be perfect for this Texas venue. Marez started playing guitar at age six and performed his first show at a first grade talent show before working as a ranch hand and riding bulls to support his music career. He will play tunes from his 2021 debut album such as the beautiful and swanky melody, “Where the Neon Lies”. Returning performer, Austin English, will end the Trinity River party on the Cinch stage.

John Baumann returns to Rockin’ the River

With a Rockin’ start to the first week, we can’t wait for an energetic and diverse July 21 lineup on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage!

Returning country headliner, John Baumann, will rock the river with hits from albums such as Proving Grounds, High Plains Alchemy and his Country Shade. Lorena Leigh is a Fort Worth favorite with a country meets glitz & glam vibe. Leigh will open for Baumann on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage at 5:15 pm with a standing (or seating) room of kayakers, tubers and beachgoers. Rounding out the Thursday evening is Austin-based David Beck’s Tejano Weekend on the Cinch stage. The five-piece group is known for bringing the party to every show with a focus on uniting friends and family (and river fans!)

July 21 Lowdown

Tube up to The Texas Gentlemen

Cold Coors Light, tubing, sunshine and good vibes are forecasted for the first week of Rockin’ the River at Panther Island Pavilion! The Thursday, July 14 lineup features Ginny Mac, Bubba Bellin and headliner The Texas Gentlemen.

The Texas Gentlemen is composed of a group of five friends who will bring the funk to Funkytown with their array of melodies and arrangements. The Dallas-based collective is known for their “no limits” approach to music – from elements of country to r&b and soul, the band will make a stop on their national tour to the summer tubing & music series. After the headliner, Red Dirt songwriter, Bubba Bellin, will bring his high energy to the after-party on the Cinch Stage.

The party starts at 5:00pm with artists playing back-to-back sets on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. Kick your weekend off early at this iconic Fort Worth event that has become a summer tradition on the Trinity River.

RTR Series Finale with John Baumann

Don’t miss out on the last Rockin’ the River of 2021! The Saturday Tubing & Music Series continues on August 7 with live music, watersport rentals, local food vendors, cold drinks, and more.

Ready to round out the season is headliner John Baumann. The native Texan singer-songwriter will hit the Coors Light Waterfront Stage at 6:45pm right after the belly flop contest. His latest album Country Shade was released last year. The Buffalo Ruckus brings their country-fried rock and southern soul to the CINCH after-party stage. Tubers and landlubbers can also look forward to Teague Brothers Band, Taylor Hunnicutt, and Western Youth. A fireworks show will end the 10th year of RTR.

A ticket is not required to attend RTR. Come early to claim your spot on the shore or in the Trinity River. Gates open at 1 PM.

August 7 Lowdown

Cody Canada Returns to Rockin’ the River

Headlining the second to last Rockin’ the River is Cody Canada & The Departed.

Cody and his band are a surefire recipe for a good time. The Americana and rock groups are fan favorites and last performed at RTR in 2018. The star-studded Saturday will also include Austin Meade as he continues to make waves throughout the state and beyond with his powerful performance style. With Prince ties, guitarist Jellybean Johnson has lent his playing to many songs and recordings and plays nationally in the Blues circuit. Shea Abshier & The Nighthowlers will close out the night with their no fluff, raw and real lyrics and genre-blurring sound on the CINCH stage.

The party starts at 1:00 pm with artists playing back-to-back sets beginning at 2:15 pm on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. After the headlining band finishes at 8:15 pm, the water party moves to the shore with the fifth and final band playing until 9:25 pm on the CINCH after-party stage before a weekly fireworks display lights up the North Texas sky.

Kick back with Coors & Chris Colston

The Rockin’ concert series continues with week four headliner on the Coors Light waterfront stage, Chris Colston. Come out July 24 for the Panther Island Pavilion party taking place on the shore and in the water along the banks of the Trinity River.

Chris Colston has been playing music since his stepfather signed him up for drum lessons at the age of seven. Now he’s headlining the stage with his gritty Texas roots, blues, and rock n’ roll sound. Another rising star on the Texas/Red Dirt scene, Cody Hibbard, will round out the night on the CINCH after-party stage. Hibbard honed his songwriting skills and deep-rooted love of country music riding around on his dad’s tractor as a kid and later at the United States Naval Academy. Saturday will end with a BANG of fireworks that light up the summer sky.

July 24 Lowdown

“DOWN BY THE RIVER” WITH DIRTY RIVER BOYS

Fan favorites The Dirty River Boys return as headliners to the Rockin’ the River stage on July 17. Beers and fists are often raised as the Boys’ amped guitars and fiddle-fired energy deliver a dynamic live experience that fans will not soon forget. Texas Hill Country native, Ben Kadlecek, will kick off the day with his southern rock and alternative set. Sharing the stage with artists like Whiskey Myers and Parker McCollum, Mitchell Ferguson will bring a soulful sound to Panther Island Pavilion.

Dallas-based Saints Eleven will also bring their Texas country and rock blend to the stage. After four potent albums, 14 charted radio singles, and a slew of virally intensive music videos & regular co-bills with many of the top artists in the scene, lead singer Jeff Grossman and the band say they are just getting started. Mason Lively will hit the CINCH after-party stage with his sweet and southern vibes. Lively will be the precursor to the July 17 fireworks show presented by Coyote Drive-In.

July 3 was full of tubing, beer, live music, belly flop contests, fireworks, and more at the Panther Island Pavilion beach presented by Tarleton State University.

Get ready for the second week’s headliner Giovannie & The Hired Guns to rock out on Texas’ only waterfront stage at Panther Island Pavilion on July 10. Stephenville natives continue to make a name for themselves in the Texas music ranks, where they are known for playing thrilling shows that always keep fans on their toes. The fun continues all day with Ross Cooper, Dustin Massey, and local fave Austin English. The Lowdown Drifters will bring their country, folk, and rock-infused sound to the after-party crowd.
